Sell Online

To sell online, you will need a Merchant Account. A Merchant Account gives you the ability to accept credit card payments online. Merchant Accounts can be set up through banking institutions or private companies. A Merchant Account has several fees associated with it. Fees will vary depending on the merchant account provider you choose. You may have to pay an application fee and setup costs. Some service providers waive these up-front fees and costs. Once you are up and running, you will be responsible for a monthly service fee or a transaction fee of each sale which may vary from service provider to another. Some may charge 1% or 2% and some may charge 2.5% or 3.5% on each customer's purchase. For example, if a customer buys a product for $100.00, the merchant account provider will take $1.00 to $3.50, leaving you $96.50 $99.00.
